We were headed out this evening to get together with some friends and, as we got underway, I felt in the mood for a bit of music.
I turned on the radio and started flipping through my pre-sets just to see what was playing. We heard, in rapid succession, country, classical, a pop rocky song with a heavy, fast beat, classic rock, and a commercial. I was about to flip again when suddenly Big Brother piped up from the back seat:
"WAIT! Go back!"
Feeling sure that he meant one of the fast, upbeat songs we'd heard, I said, "Ok, babe" and change back to the pop rock station.
"No, go back," he said.
I changed it to the country station.
"No, that's not it, go back!"
I said, "Babe, I'm not sure which one you mean," and started back through my channels. I got to the classical station and he said,
"STOP! That's it! ...
I love this music! It's so beautiful - it reminds me of when I was born!!"
Ha! Must be all those times he went to work with me at the symphony while in utero...So adorable. I love my son!!
In case you're curious, here's the piece of music that so enraptured my boy (it's short...and quite beautiful. Definitely worth a listen.)

What a wonderful thing for him to say, I've not visited your blog before (only just catching up on BBfS) so I've no idea how old he is but that's priceless regardless :-) P.S love the music too by the way.
interesting how we remember sounds when other parts of the memory are vague
Isn't that fascinating? I bet he really did remember back all that way..
