Who doesn't love a good pattern?! Sketch or template, whatever you want to call it, they all give you a basic framework to fill out and transform into something all your own.
I love Jeanette Lynton's how-to books; I grab great ideas from a myriad of blogs; I search lists of files posted on my team bulletin boards by talented and creative ladies; and I love to grab the tear-out sketch page from Creating Keepsakes magazines.
One of my newly discoverd sources is the last page of the CK magazines. In every issue they have a 10 or 15 minute page idea with instructions on how to put it together. I love using these, especially when I have just a couple photos. Here are two different iterations of the same pattern...
