3 - 2 - 1 Decorate!!

So, around here, there's no shopping being done during the weekend following Thanksgiving. It's all hanging out with family, reading, playing trains and board games, eating, playing football and baseball, and, finally, starting the Christmas decorating and cookie-baking! Yippee!

I always buy something special for the house sometime during the holiday season (I have NO will-power in the face of gorgeous Christmas decorations that call my name pleadingly from their shelves...), but this year, I made something!!
My awesome grandma upline Barb Carrico shared an email with us a couple weeks ago that had instructions for a paper wreath made from the pleated paper circles that are so trendy right now. I saw a similar wreath in a recent scrapbooking magazine as well but I was especially drawn to the idea of making it with holiday papers.
Here's my beauty:

I used Close To My Heart's Mistletoe papers from the Level 2 paper pack and I think they worked very well for this project. They have beautiful classic Christmas images on them like holly sprigs, staff music, and snowflakes.
Here are some close-ups so you can see the details a bit better.
I accented the centers of the pleated circles with extra stickers I had leftover from our fantastic new Festive Memories card kit as well as some red and green sparkles.
I'm offering this wreath as one of the projects for my Pick Your Project holiday workshops coming up in December. It's actually pretty easy to make! If you'd like to learn, email me for workshop details.
Mine is already hanging on my wall...my inaugural decoration of 2010! Bring on December, yeah!!
