Home at Last

Hello friends!
So far this summer has been a whirlwind of travel and adventure. For the past two months, I have only been home for a day or two at a time in between trips. I'm a wee bit worn out! I'm glad to be home with no plans to leave again for awhile. At some point in the packing and unpacking of suitcases, I just plain ran out of energy for auto-posts, so I'm sorry that I've been quiet for a bit. Thanks for checking in again!
This past weekend we were in New York City for my brother's wedding. It was a fun, hectic trip, and the wedding at Battery Park Gardens was truly lovely.
Everyone needs a card to take to a wedding, right? I was SO excited to get my new Close To My Heart Cricut Art Philosophy Collection last week that I went right to work playing with it. I absolutely love the innumerable things this cartridge can do and that it coordinates with stamp sets and chipboard!
Here's the card I made for my brother and his wife:

Pretty much everything on this card was done using the Cricut. The card base is one of the many card choices and I used CTMH's new Sonoma paper to cut the swirly medallion in the middle. There are several dimensional flower shapes available and I chose to use the rose in several sizes. For the title/sentiment piece I cut the shape, stamped on it with the coordinating stamp, and mounted it on the matching chipboard piece (after inking it and covering it with Liquid Glass). It's so fantastic to have all these pieces that are made to go together. I love it!!!
I kept the inside simple, just masked the swirly cut-out shape from the front onto a piece of bamboo cardstock and stamped the sentiment I wanted:
Isn't this so much fun?! If you want to get your hands on this awesome Cricut collection, visit my website. International friends - if you can't live without it, I can ship it to you. Email me at willsmomma07{at}yahoo{dot}com.
Stamping and die-cutting combined...I'm in loooooove!
